PSE Market Summary:

The Philippine Stocks Market is up two consecutive trades, increasing by 123.49 or 1.84% to close at 6,835.21. Total trades recorded were 40,842 with 117 stocks advances, 61 declines and 38 stocks unchanged.


CPG Authorizes Top Up Placement

Century Properties Group, Inc. (PSE:CPG) authorized the placement of P800 million common shares priced at P2.05 per share. The proceeds from the placement will be used to fund CPG's continuing growth in acquiring land banks.

PSE Round-Up: January 24, 2013

PSE Market Summary:

The Philippine Stocks Market was up by 24.74 or .41% to close at 6,117.27. Total trades were down to 22,032 with 77 stocks advances, 74 declines and 51 stocks remaining unchanged.


MBT Declares Cash Dividend

Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company (PSE:MBT) declared a P1 per share ash dividend for all stockholders. Record and payments dates are yet to be announced.


CPG Exceeds Pre-Sales Target for 2012

Century Properties Group (PSE:CPG) recorded P21.4 billion of pre-sales transactions for the full year 2012, higher than the P20billion estimate. This represents 16.6% growth compared to P18.4 billion in 2011. CPG has expanded its portfolio in 2012 to include affordable real estate developments.

PSE Market Summary:

The Philippine Stocks Market closed is up for the third straight trade, slightly increasing by 1.19 points to P5,470.70. Total trades reached 23,004 with 75 stocks advances 83 declines and 52 stocks unchanged.



PCOR Reports P932M Income for Nine Months

Petron Corporation (PSE:PCOR) realized consolidated net income of P932 million for the first nine months of 2012 despite volatile global oil markets. 3Q income reached P500 million to reverse the recorded loss posted on 2Q. PCOR stocks increased by P.04 to close at P10.78.


RFM Net Income Increase 47%

RFM Corporation (PSE:RFM) posted P440 million net income for the first nine months of 2012, up by 47% from last year. The company also accounted a 13% sales growth. RFM shares closed lower by P.04 at P4.13.


JFC Declares Cash Dividend

CPG Reports 95% Growth

Century Properties Group, Inc. (PSE:CPG) reported 95% increase in net income to P1.4 billion for the first nine months of 2012 backed y stronger sales. CPG stocks closed at P1.43 inceasing by P.03 per share. 


RCB Net Income UP 17%

RCBC (PSE:RCB) net income for the first nine months of 2012 reached P4.8 billion or 17% higher than last period. The growth was mainly due to higher net interest income. RCB shares closed at P46.95 up by P.10 for the day.


PIP Posts 208% Growth

Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines (PSE:PIP) posted a record 208% increase in profits for the first nine-months of 2012. PIP stocks closed at P5.55. lower by .P05 for the day.


SMC Nears Deal to Sell Bank of Commerce

San Miguel Corp. (PSE:SMC) moved a step closer to finalize a deal to sell its majority stake in Bank of Commerce. It has confirmed it is currently in talks with Malaysian investors to push through with the transaction. SMC shares were unchanged to close at P109 per share.


ALI to Invest in FamilyMArt

Ayala Land, Inc. (PSE:ALI will spend P80 million to establish 30 FamilyMart stores in 2013. This will help them build their retail portfolio taking advantage of partnering with established brands/. ALI shares inched higher by P.35 to close at P23.25 per share.

The Philippine Stocks Market is down on a third day to close at 5,294.97.


AGI Expects P 10B Core Net Income

Holding firm Alliance Global, Inc. (PSE:AGI) expects its core net income for the year to grow to approximately P 10B. AGI expects share of income from its subsidiary Megaworld Corporation (PSE:MEG) to be around P 4.9 billion, Emperador Distillers contributing P 4 billion, leisure property Global Estates Resorts Inc. to reach P 250 million and Mcdonald's franchisee Golden Arches Development Corporation to be P 650 million. 


CPG to invest P 34B for Metro Manila Projects

Property developer Century Properties Group, Inc. (PSE:CPG) plans to sustain it strong growth in the real estate market. It is currently constructing master-planned developments within Metro Manila with projected cost of around P 34 billion.


BRN Signed Agreement to Build Iloilo Power Plant

A Brown Company, Inc. (PSE:BRN) signed an agreement with AC Energy Holdings, Inc., wholly owned subsidiary of Ayala Corp., to build a power plant in Iloilo. The power plant expects to break ground by 4th quarter this year.

ALI highest bidder for FTI Property

Property Developer Ayala Land, Inc. disclosed that their bid of P24.33 billion for FTI Property was declared the highest bidder among other participants. This represents approximately P32,282 per sqm of the said property. 

EDC Income Rise 350%

Geothermal Company Energy Development Corporation posted a net income of P5.7 b
illion for the first half of 2012 reversing the P2.3 billion net loss registered same period last year. Revenues from First Gen Hydro Power Plant and Green Core Geothermal Inc. were the company’s main income drivers.

Vista Land Posts 25% Net Income

Property Developer Vista Land & Landscapes, Inc. reported a 25% increase in first half net income to P2.19 billion from P1.74 billion same period last year. Sales continue to remain strong, posting 47% growth.

URC to Purchase International Unit

Snacks food and beverage company Universal Robina Corporation disclosed it will purchase 23% of URC International Co., Ltd valued at P7.2 billion. URCI manufactures, markets and distributes consumer food products in China, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Singapore.

First Gen Posts $92.8 million Net Income

First Gen Corporation reported net income attributable to parent of $P92.8 million from $16 million loss same period last year. Affiliate Energy Development Corporation mainly contributed to the increase in earnings.

PSE Net Income Grows 86% in First Half

The Philippine Stocks Exchange, Inc. announced its net income increased by 86% to P324.41 million from P174.80 million same period last year, mainly due to higher listing and trading-related revenues. Three companies conducted initial public offerings during the period; GT Capital Holdings, Inc., Eastwest Banking Corpor

ICT Award 75,000 Shares under Stock Incentive Plan

International Container Terminal Services, Inc. awarded 75,000 shares to selected members of management at an average price of P70.80 under its stock incentive plan. These shares were deducted from treasury shares.

CPG Reports 91% Increase in Net Income

Property Developer Century Properties Group posted a net income of P944 million, up from P496 million or 91% same period last year. The company has continued to be aggressive in its marketing strategies for its newly launched development projects.

GT Capital Core Net Income Posts 51% Increase

Investment Holding Conglomerate GT Capital Holdings, Inc. (PSE:GTCAP) disclosed P2.6 billion core net income up 51% from P1.7 billion same period last year. The increase was attributed to higher net income contribution from associate Global Business Power Corporation.

Century Properties to develop Mid-Rise Condo in QC

Century Properties (CPG) continue its expansion after unveiling development of 4.4 hectare mid-rise community in Quezon City, Philippines. The eight-tower project will have a total of 2,300 units to add to the 15,703 condominium and office units and 955 single attached homes currently under construction. The company reported P 454 Million sales equivalent to 310% growth during the first quarter.
