PCOR Posts P2.3B Net Income

Petron Corporation (PSE:PCOR) reported a P2.3 billion net income for 2012, lower than the P8.5 billion posted in 2011. The lower earnings is primarily due to the 2nd quarter loss from volatile oil prices.

PSE Round-Up: November 12, 2012

PSE Market Summary:

The Philippine Stocks Market closed is up for the third straight trade, slightly increasing by 1.19 points to P5,470.70. Total trades reached 23,004 with 75 stocks advances 83 declines and 52 stocks unchanged.



PCOR Reports P932M Income for Nine Months

Petron Corporation (PSE:PCOR) realized consolidated net income of P932 million for the first nine months of 2012 despite volatile global oil markets. 3Q income reached P500 million to reverse the recorded loss posted on 2Q. PCOR stocks increased by P.04 to close at P10.78.


RFM Net Income Increase 47%

RFM Corporation (PSE:RFM) posted P440 million net income for the first nine months of 2012, up by 47% from last year. The company also accounted a 13% sales growth. RFM shares closed lower by P.04 at P4.13.


JFC Declares Cash Dividend

Jollibee Foods Corporation (PSE:JFC) issued regular and special cash dividends as follow:

CPG Reports 95% Growth

Century Properties Group, Inc. (PSE:CPG) reported 95% increase in net income to P1.4 billion for the first nine months of 2012 backed y stronger sales. CPG stocks closed at P1.43 inceasing by P.03 per share. 


RCB Net Income UP 17%

RCBC (PSE:RCB) net income for the first nine months of 2012 reached P4.8 billion or 17% higher than last period. The growth was mainly due to higher net interest income. RCB shares closed at P46.95 up by P.10 for the day.


PIP Posts 208% Growth

Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines (PSE:PIP) posted a record 208% increase in profits for the first nine-months of 2012. PIP stocks closed at P5.55. lower by .P05 for the day.


SMC Nears Deal to Sell Bank of Commerce

San Miguel Corp. (PSE:SMC) moved a step closer to finalize a deal to sell its majority stake in Bank of Commerce. It has confirmed it is currently in talks with Malaysian investors to push through with the transaction. SMC shares were unchanged to close at P109 per share.


ALI to Invest in FamilyMArt

Ayala Land, Inc. (PSE:ALI will spend P80 million to establish 30 FamilyMart stores in 2013. This will help them build their retail portfolio taking advantage of partnering with established brands/. ALI shares inched higher by P.35 to close at P23.25 per share.

PSE Round-Up: October 5, 2012

PSE Market Summary:

The Philippine Stocks Exchange was down by 3.90 or .70% to close at 5,439.84. A total of 26,955 trades were recorded with advancers edging on decliners, 102 to 69. 48 stocks remained unchanged. The PSEi is up 131.32 points or 2.47% for the week. 


PCOR to Enter Generation and Sale of Power

Petron Corporation (PSE:PCOR) amended its primary purpose on its articles of incorporation to include the generation and sale of power. PCOR shall "purchase, create, generate or otherwise acquire, use sell, supply or otherwise dispose of electric current and, electric, steam and water power of every kind and description, and to sell, supply or otherwise dispose of light, heat and power of every kind and description."


MER Exploring LNG Power Plant Feasibility

Meralco PowerGen Corp., an affiliate company of Manila Electric Co. (PSE:MER) is studying the feasibility of putting up a liquefied natural gas-fired power plant in Luzon area. Reports say that the plant would generate up to 1,200 MW,but no definite information was provided yet by MER.


AEV Buys UBP Shares Anew

Aboitiz Equity Ventures PSE:AEV) bought addtional 225,000 shares of Union Bank of the Philippines (PSE:UBP) anew at P106 per share. AEV has continually accumulated on UBP shares within the past two months

PSE Round-Up: August 10, 2012

ICTSI Signs Sub-concession in Nigeria

International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (PSE:ICT) and Lekki Port LFTZ Enterperise (LPLE) reached a sub-concession agreement for a container terminal in Nigeria. This grants ICTSI exclusive right to develop, operate and provide handling equipment and container terminal services for a period of 21 years.

Ayala Corp 1st Half Profits Up 23%

Ayala Corporation (PSE:AC) reported P6.1 Billion consolidated net income, 23% higher than same period last year. This was driven by higher equity earnings from Ayala Land, Bank of the Philippine Islands and Manila Water. Full report can be found here.

Sun Life Financial Inc. (PSE:SLF) declared cash dividend as follows:

MPTC Clarifies Delisting Issue

Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation issued a clarification that they are still evaluating whether to comply with PSE minimum public ownership or to delist the company. The statement came after reports came up that the company is favoring on delisting. 


PCOR Income down in first half of 2012

Petron Corporation (PSE:PCOR) reported consolidated income of P432 Million for its Philippines and Malaysia operations. This was significantly down from P 6.04 Billion same period last year due to volatility in global oil markets. 


Manulife Delacres Cash Dividend

Manulife Financial Corporation declared cash dividend per below:

Trading of TDY Shares Temporarily Suspended

Tanduay Holdings, Inc. (PSE: TDY) disclosed the changes in the corporation's board of directors and equity placement by selling up to 3 Billion shares to institutional investors. Tycoon Lucio C. Tan was elected Chairman for the executive committee. The company will implement a trading halt from 9:00 - 10:00 AM tomorrow, August 10 to give the public sufficient time to digest the information disclosed.

MPI Core Net Income Up 30%; Cash Dividend Declared

Metro Pacific Investments Corporation reported P3.46 Billion core net income up 30% from P2.66 Billion previous period last year. The increase was mainly due to higher profit contributions from investment holdings in Meralco, Maynilad and Metro tollways. The company also issued cash dividend with details below in line with its financial results.

Phoenix Petroleum 1st Half Revenue Up 21%

Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc. announced revenues of P17 Billion in 1H2012, up 21% from P14 Billion reported same period last year. The higher income was driven by increase in sales volume of refined petroleum products and higher fuel charges. Full report can be viewed here.


MBTC Posts 21% Growth

Metrobank and Trust Company (PSE:MBTC) reported P7.4 Billion consolidated income, up 21% from P6.1 Billion same period last year. Increase in the core revenues and reduction of costs were the main drivers for the strong performance. Full report can be found here.


Philex' Padcal Mine Remains Suspended

Philex Mining Corporation's Padcal Mine in Benguet Province will remain suspended until further inspection and safety is assured. It was previously reported that PX stopped its operations in the said plant due to sediment leaks caused by rain but were later contained after 48 hours.
