PSE Market Summary:

The Philippine Stocks Market was up by 28.64 or .45% to close at 6,459.99. Total trades reached 32,056 with 99 stocks advances, 69 declines and 47 stocks remaining unchanged.


PSB Posts P2.3B Net Income

Philippine Savings Bank (PSE:PSB) recorded a net income of P2.3 billion in 2012 from P2 billion in 2011. The increase is attributed primarily to the outstanding growth in the loans portfolio.


JFC Targets 4,000 stores

Jollibee Foods Corporation (PSE:JFC) targets 4,000 stores worldwide by 2020 as it continues to expand. JFC plans to unveil a new branch in Singapore for the first time by first quarter of this year.

PSE Round-Up: January 23, 2013

PSE Market Summary:

The Philippine Stocks Market was down for the second straight trade, closing at 6,092.53 from 6,104.90 yesterday. Total trades reached 24,845 with 62 stocks advances, 91 declines and 51 stocks unchanged.


PSB Declares Cash Dividend

Philippine Savings Bank (PSE:PSB) declared cash dividend equivalent to P.75 per share. The record date and payment date will be announced at a later date.


RPL Declares Cash Dividend

iRipple Inc. (PSE:RPL) declared cash dividend of P.15 per share for all stockholders of record as of Feb. 28, 2013. Ex-date is on Feb. 25, 2013 and payment on Mar. 22, 2013.

PSE Round-Up: December 11, 2012

PSE Market Summary:

The Philippine Stocks Market breached the 5,800 mark and closed to new high hitting 5,831.5 for the day. Total trades were up to 29,580 with 87 stocks advances, 83 declines and 47 stocks unchanged.


MIH to be Melco's Holding Company

Melco Crown Entertainment will backdoor-list its casino project through acquisition of Manchester International Holdings Unlimited Corporation (PSE:MIH). Once acquisition is completed, MIH will effectively become the holding company of MCE's hotel, casino, retail and entertainment project.


PSB Declares Cash Dividend

Philippine Savings Bank (PSE:PSB) declared regular cash dividend as follows:

ABS to Offer Preferred Shares

ABS-CBN Corporation (PSE:ABS) approved the offering of 1 billion preferred shares with par of P.20 per share pro rata to its existing shareholders at an issue price of P.20 per share. The shares will have a fixed cummulative interest rate at 2% per annum on each anniversary date.

The Philippine Stocks Market is down by 33.63 or .62% to close at 5,398.69. A total 28,412 trades were recorded with 43 advances, 120 declines and 42 stocks remaining unchanged.


MPI to Expand Health Care Portfolio

Metro Pacific Investments Corp (PSE:MPI) target to expand its presence in the healthcare industry by acquiring additional hospitals throughout the country. MPI have confirmed there are ongoing discussions with several parties, but no definite agreements have been reached.

Philodrill Corporation (PSE:OV) declared cash dividend with details below:

MJC to Maintain Controlling Interest with MJIC

The board of Directors of Manila Jockey Club, Inc. (PSE:MJC) has agreed to maintain controlling interest with its subsidiary, MJC Investments Corp (PSE:MJIC). MJIC shall continue to pursue new investments as long as MJC retains at least 51% ownership with the company.


AC Named Sole Distributor for Volkswagen

Europe's largest carmaker Volkswagen AG has chosen to partner with Ayala Corporation's (PSE:AC) wholly-owned subsidiary, Ayala Automotive Holdings Corporation to be its Philippine distributor for Volkswagen passenger vehicles. The move is part of the European company's plan move to establish its brand in ASEAN region.


PSB Declares Cash Dividend

Philippine Savings Bank's (PSE:PSB) board of directors approved the declaration of P.75 per share cash dividend. The record date and payable date shall be decided by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.


PXP Incurs Net Loss as of 3Q12

Philex Petroleum Corporation (PSE:PXP) recorded a net loss of P131.85 million as of September 30, 2012, compared to a net income of P472.11 million same period last year. The decrease was due to the refurbishment of its Service Contract no. 14 (Galoc) of which PXP holds 60.49% interest. The prior period's net income also included an extraordinary gain of P443.67 million.
