PSE Stock of the Week: YEHEY Surges on its Debut

Digital marketing company Yehey! Corp. (PSE:YEHEY) surged on its first day as a listed stock, trading 350% higher its initial price before it eventually settled to 170% increase last Oct. 18. 

It initally debuted at P1 per share by way of introduction, making it exempt on the first day from the 50% floor and ceiling limit set by PSE. YEHEY shares closed at P2.70 and P2.55 on its first two days of trading in the stocks market. It reached as high as P4.50 per share on Thurday, surprising even the company executives for the very strong response.

Since the stock was listed by way of introduction, very limited people have the opportunity to avail at the initial price and the sizzling debut established what the investors think as a fair price. The strong demand can be attributed to a lot of factors. For one, this is the first time that a digital marketing company is listed. Advertising campaigns online also show a lot of promise in terms of growth as digital marketing typically get only .2 percent of a company's advertising budget. YEHEY made its initial listing at a time when technology stocks are performing well globally, adding to the upbeat market sentiments where investing in stocks continue to be bullish.

Yehey! Corp. began as an online search engine operator which later evolved as an online digital marketing agency. Its biggest income distributor come from web development and digital public relations. If their company profile is any indicator, YEHEY stock is something investors will continue to watch out for. The combination of its niche service offering and its ability to innovate and change with time shows a lot of promise and good returns for would-be investors.
